The Young Women's Theological Network is a developing idea.

There are now about 25 members, and the identity and role of the network is still being formed. The basic foundations for the network are outlined below, but may still change and develop as more members join the discussion. The name 'Young Women's Theological Network' is still a working title, and may change depending on what the network members decide.

The network welcomes all young women with an interest in theology or theological issues. The aims of the network are:

It has been noted that the value of the network lies partly in bringing together a fairly narrowly defined group which is often not heard in wider debates. Therefore, it has been decided to keep membership roughly aged early thirties and under.

The network has met twice so far – once in Manchester and once in London . These have been small but productive and exciting gatherings, and have further confirmed the potential of this network. Reports of these meetings are available:

The latest development for the network has been setting up a SmartGroup where members can 'meet' and start to share ideas and perspectives. If you would like to visit or join the SmartGroup, please get in touch with Hannah Skinner.

A possible direction of the network will be a publication or review which will be themed around a particular issue. All network members would be welcome to contribute in whichever way they feel best expresses their perspective on the issue. All contributions would be valued, for example, photos, narrative, more formal written articles, pictures and story. Written articles could be comprised of the perspectives expressed within network discussion and compiled by one author.

If you are interested in joining the network, or would like more information, please contact Hannah Skinner.
