The purpose of the Core Cities Theology Network is to create an environment of solidarity and support for those engaged in urban mission and public policy so that more effective ways of being the church in the core cities context might be enabled.

A process of linking theological reflection in Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne and Sheffield is already underway with day conferences in each core city being planned for 2005. The process will culminate in a residential conference on 12th to 14th September 2006 at Scargill House in the Yorkshire Dales. Further details may be obtained from Peter Robinson, John Fielding from Liverpool or Chris Baker from Manchester.
